Tonight is out last Skate Night of the year! Come on out to Skate Country for a great time celebrating the end of the school year!
Today we celebrated our A+ School of Excellence recognition from the Arizona Education Foundation.
We had so much fun celebrating our schools success by showcasing several of our incredibly talented students and staff! We also had a special appearance from the very TAIL-ented Rattles as we unveiled our new mascot!
Thank you to Mr. Peter Wells, from the Arizona Education Foundation, and Mrs. Tamara McAllister, the head judge from our A+ visit in January, for coming to our celebration and presenting us with this award.
We would also like to thank all the Superintendents, Governing Board Members, VUSD Staff, Desert Willow Parents and Community Members who joined us for our celebration today.
And a special thank you to Kendra Santucci for assisting us with the drone for the incredible arial photograph.

It was a big day here at DWE!
This morning was Field Day! A huge shout out to Mrs. McCabe for planning this amazing day, and a big thank you to the whole specialist team and our amazing volunteers for helping this day run so smoothly.
This afternoon was the PTA Read-a-thon Slime Assembly. The students that read the most minutes during the Read-a-thon got to slime Mrs. Forgacs and Mrs. Owens! Thank you PTA for organizing the Read-a-thon and the assembly, and thank you to our principals for being such good sports!
Community Fair is on Friday! There are so many fun things happening at DWE from 5-7:30 PM! You don't want to miss out!

It was amazing to see the eclipse today! Thank you to the DWE PTA and Student Council for purchasing the eclipse glasses so we could all take part in this special event!

School Labels were released this week and once again for the 2022-2023 school year Desert Willow has received an A rating! Way to go Diamondbacks!
We are so excited for Trunk or Treat tonight! All of the trunk ideas sound so fun and we can't wait to see all of your costumes! There will be pizza available to purchase in the MPR and plenty of treats!
